1. Introduction
Welcome to GP Direct, an online marketplace hosted on GrendelPress.com, powered by Dokan Multivendor and WooCommerce. By registering as an author, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
- Marketplace: Refers to GP Direct.
- Author: A registered user who uploads and sells Stories on the Marketplace.
- Stories: Digital products uploaded and sold by Authors on the Marketplace.
- We/Us/Our: Refers to the owners and operators of the Marketplace.
3. Eligibility
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
- Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
- Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
4. Author Registration and Account
Authors must register and create an account to sell Stories on the Marketplace.
Authors agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- Keep their account information up to date.
- Maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials.
- Be responsible for all activities that occur under their account.
5. Author Rights and Responsibilities
- Authors must have the correct rights to sell their Stories, both originals and reprints.
- Authors control what they upload and must ensure that their Stories comply with our guidelines.
- Each Story is reviewed by our staff before publishing to ensure content meets our guidelines.
- Authors can set prices for their stories at will and are responsible for maintaining competitive prices for their genre and word counts.
- Stories must be in both PDF and epub formats.
- Cover must be in .jpg format.
6. Content Guidelines
Authors must not upload any content that:
- Is illegal or promotes illegal activities.
- Contains full nudity on cover images.
- Violates any intellectual property rights.
- Fails to comply with our community standards and guidelines.
7. Commissions and Fees
- Authors receive a 70% commission on each sale of their Stories.
- The gateway fee for each purchase is paid by the reader at the time of purchase.
- Authors have the option to set minimum purchase requirements on their stores.
8. Payments
- Payments to Authors are made upon request. Minimum $10 to withdraw.
- Authors must provide accurate payment information.
- We are not responsible for any delays or payment errors caused by incorrect payment information.
9. Content Review and Removal
- We reserve the right to review and remove any content that violates these Terms or our guidelines.
- Authors will be notified of any content removal and may have the opportunity to appeal the decision.
10. Intellectual Property
- Authors retain ownership of their Stories but grant us a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote their Stories on the Marketplace.
- Authors must not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
11. Termination
- We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any account that violates these Terms or our guidelines.
- Authors may terminate their account at any time by contacting us.
12. Limitation of Liability
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Marketplace.
- Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
Authors agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of the Marketplace or violation of these Terms.
14. Changes to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Authors will be notified of any changes, and continued use of the Marketplace constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Oklahoma. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Oklahoma.
